[Astlinux-users] How to activate Asterisk-GUI

Hi all,
I just installed 1.0.2 Astlinux and I try to access it through Asterisk-GUI.

I have looked everywhere and cannot find how to activate the Asterisk-GUI.
When I use the link:
http://ip-address:8088/asterisk/static/config/index.html,

I get a blank page with DIGIUM Logo in the header.

Did someone has an idea ?

Thanks in advance

Did you enable a "admin" user via manager.conf ?

Perhaps this wiki item could be expanded somewhat.

Haboul,

If you are running Asterisk 1.8, do you have the file "/mnt/kd/dahdi/system.conf" defined ? If not,

$ cp -a /stat/etc/dahdi/system.conf /mnt/kd/dahdi/

and try again.

Otherwise your *.conf's look good, play with the URL, I see you have http.conf "redirect" defined, possibly that is changing the URL you need to use.

Found the file at the right place.

May be it's a matter of access rights.

I found this error in the asterisk log.

Haboul,

It should work straight away. Don't fiddle with permissions, that *will* cause problems.

Maybe others that use this can post their URL, I'll try to look as well.

Hi Haboul,

I updated our documentation for using the Asterisk GUI,

Using the Asterisk GUI
http://doc.astlinux.org/userdoc:tt_asterisk-gui

Looking at the files you posted, your manager.conf looks fine but your http.conf needs the following lines commented out...

;prefix=asterisk
;redirect = / /static/config/index.html

Then this URL should work:

http://pbx-ip-address:8088/static/config/index.html

Or, if you want to keep "redirect =" un-commented this URL should work:

http://pbx-ip-address:8088/

Haboul,

I took a fresh AstLinux 1.0.2 (Asterisk 1.8) and it worked as described for me.

You didn't edit any files non-/mnt/kd/ files, change permissions, etc. ?

You restarted asterisk after making the http.conf edits ?

Feel free to post your http.conf file again and what URL are you using ?
